My Review:

The Gilded series concludes with this fantastic conclusion to a wonderful story. It was nice to be back in Christina’s world with her characters and vivid descriptions. In the final installment we find Jae Hwa Lee in a terrible position working for the enemy she fought so hard against. She is an assassin for the ancient Korean god of darkness Kud. Now she tries to break free to be back with her friends and family. One thing stands in her way, the trust from her loved ones. How can they trust her after such a betrayal? Her family thinks she’s dead and her true love Marc things she’s lost forever. OMG THE DRAMA!
DRAMA

You don’t have to remember everything from Gilded and Silvern to read Brazen. Christina does a wonderful job at pulling us back into Jae’s world. This book was action packed with adventure and thrills. I read it every opportunity I could get. Maybe I didn’t get so much sleep.

drama 2

Jae’s situation was horrible throughout the book but she kept hope of gaining her humanity back and reuniting with Marc. She’s on a quest to find the Black Turtle Orb and with it maybe her freedom. What I love about the story is Christina doesn’t make it easy for Jae to retrieve the orb. Jae has hurdles along the way but stays strong and confident. Just when you think she can’t get a break, BOOM, Christina throws us a lifeline.

The world building was excellent! But that’s to be expected from Christina. Every detail and setting is well defined. Her writing flows to make the pace fast, which makes you not want to put the book down. I loved how this book’s setting had taken place in China. I felt like I was there!

Thank you Christina for concluding a wonderful series with an epic ending!

Should your read it? Yes! It’s a perfect conclusion to a fantastic series. If you haven’t read the first two I highly recommend you read them. Mythology, adventure and great characters await you in the Gilded Series. It’s not to be missed!
