Look Out Wednesday is our weekly post that spotlights upcoming books we can’t wait to read! And if you couldn’t tell by the gif above, today’s book spotlight is about twins! Any book about twins has our interest but this one has a plot that intrigues us greatly!

Let’s take a look at CJ Omololu’s The Third Twin

When they were little, Lexi and her identical twin, Ava, made up a third sister, Alicia. If something broke? Alicia did it. Cookies got eaten? Alicia’s guilty. Alicia was always to blame for everything.

The game is all grown up now that the girls are seniors. They use Alicia as their cover to go out with boys who are hot but not exactly dating material. Boys they’d never, ever be with in real life.

Now one of the guys Alicia went out with has turned up dead, and Lexi wants to stop the game for good. As coincidences start piling up, Ava insists that if they follow the rules for being Alicia, everything will be fine. But when another boy is killed, the DNA evidence and surveillance photos point to only one suspect—Alicia. The girl who doesn’t exist.

As she runs from the cops, Lexi has to find the truth before another boy is murdered. Because either Ava is a killer . . . or Alicia is real.

About the Author:

I‘m a writer living in Northern California with my husband and two sons. I grew up witcynthiah the serviceable last name of Jaynes, but then married a handsome Nigerian man, which is why my other last name has so many vowels.

After I’d been writing for a little while, one of my writing partners started writing novels and although it looked really hard, I thought maybe I should try it. Turns out, there are a lot of voices in my head and sometimes they have interesting things to say. I met my first agent in an elevator (really) at a writer’s conference and when I finished my first novel, we signed together. My young adult novel Dirty Little Secrets came out with Walker Books in February 2010. Transcendence, a new novel about reincarnation and the choices we make came out in June 2012 with the sequel, Intuition, out in June of 2013.

Doesn’t this book sound intriguing? This will definitely be part of a twin book review for Book Friday. We always wonder what authors think when they write about twins or what characteristics and emotions come to play within the story. We’re very excited!
