I have a secret. I went beyond the walls. It wasn’t my intentions to venture outside the safety of captivity. But it was a dare and I was bored. Bored and hungry. There isn’t much to eat except oatmeal and bread. Meat is scarce and I would give anything for a snickers. So, on my sister’s dare I climb through the sewer, ewwwwww, and emerged outside int the infected world. It was the first time in months I saw the outside. It was pretty silent and still. I thought I could be Daryl from Walking Dead or Katniss from Hunger games with my bow and arrow. I would be a superstar back in Haven 19. Nope, I immediately get bit by a zombie when my feet land outside the walls. I did get the candy from the gas station across the street. I sit and chew the snickers watching the others gobble down their candy. I am a hero. But I have a secret. I’m infected. Now I’m uncertain on what I should do? I carry this secret wondering when I’ll turn and when the killing begins.
She was born the day the world ended…
Nurrin has lived her entire life with zombies—trapped behind walls meant to keep them safe. She’s mostly happy there. But when a zombie horde breech the walls of her Haven, she has to trust her brother, Collin, and his best friend to keep her alive.
He just wants his past to die…
Finn O’Malley has given up on voicing warnings that are ignored. No one cares that the zombies are changing. Now all that matters is keeping Collin and Nurrin safe from what’s outside the walls of a Haven. But when Nurrin’s best friend picks up a contact infection, he agrees to get the medicine needed to save his life. Forced together, relying on each other in a strange Haven, zombies aren’t the most dangerous thing they’re facing.
In their world, only one thing remains true: everything ends in blood.
You can also become an Infect and be a part of a Haven as well
