Leigh Ann’s ONE is out! Check it out and Win a copy!

Final ONE cover

ONE is out today! Yay. This book is awesome and worth the read. Superpowers and teen love correlate wonderfully together.I have read lots of books as a Bookseller at Barnes and Nobles. So when I come across one I love, I have to share! One was a great read, which I couldn’t put down. Teenagers who have superpowers?! Cant beat that. It reminded me of Xmen meets Sky High. I fell in love with the characters, Merrin and Elias. When there are Supers who have two powers, Ones who have only one power and Normals who don’t have any, you know a conflict with ensue. Merrin has only one power, she floats but she wants to fly. She meets Elias and well…you have to read it! And boy does it get good toward the end. This is a must read. Leigh is very descriptive that brings this world to life. The emotions between the characters make them feel real. I truly enjoyed this and you will too!

You can find the book here on Leigh Ann’s website and pick up the book! http://www.leighannkopans.com/index2.php#!/Order or on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/ONE-Leigh-Ann-Kopans/dp/148499583X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370822894&sr=8-1&keywords=leigh+ann+kopans or Barnes and Nobles http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/one-leighann-kopans/1115540816?ean=2940016475325

So for the special release I am giving away a paperback copy of ONE. All you have to do is comment with who your favorite superhero and what powers you would want if you were a superhero. Comment away!

My favorite superheroes are Rogue, Gambit and Superman

I love the relationship between the Rogue and Gambit. I just love Rogue’s white streaks in her hair and that Cajun accent of Gambit.

I have always loved Superman from the movie to the comics. An alien trying to do good on earth with two different identities. So excited for the new movie this week! Man of Steel.

Synopsis: Sixteen-year-old Merrin Grey would love to be able to fly, or even drift along like a freaking ghost – too bad all she can do is float up and down. When almost everyone else is a Super, with at least two powers, or a Normal, with none, being a One is the worst kind of in-between.

All Merrin has ever wanted is to land an internship at the Biotech Hub. She busts her butt in AP Chem and salivates over news of Hub President Fisk’s experiments, hoping she can get close enough to his research on the manifestations of superpowers to finally figure out how to fix herself.

Then she meets Elias VanDyne, another One, and all her carefully crafted plans fly out the window. Literally. When the two of them touch, their Ones combine to make them fly, and when they’re not soaring over the Nebraska cornfields, they’re busy falling for each other. Merrin’s over the moon – Elias is as good at kissing as he is at helping her fly. Better yet, her mad chemistry skills land her a spot on the Hub’s internship short list.

But when the Hub kidnaps Elias, Merrin discovers The Hub’s sick experiments could take away even their measly single powers – Fisk’s interest in Ones like them might even be lethal. If she stands up to Fisk, she not only risks Elias’s life, she’ll also destroy her chances of ever finding a way to fly solo – of ever being more than a One.

  1. This sounds like a great read, and I love that cover. My favorites are Spider-Man and Superman. I would love the power to fly so I could visit friends and faraway places for free! 😉

  2. My favorite superhero is Batman. I love the dark tone of his story and the villains against those who have to fight.
If I was a superhero I would love to fly ♥

  3. This book sounds great! I love the X-Men, I have since I was a little kid. Rogue and Gambit are my favorite couple too! But for my favorite superhero I have to go with Captain America. I just love him and everything he stands for 🙂
